Como se livrar da mensagem"Renderização de multi – GPU SLI foi desativada" ao instalar Geforce

Já tava ficando estressado com a janelinha do tipo balloon que aparecia sempre que o Windows XP era iniciado. Isso começou após a instalação de uma placa de vídeo GeForce 6200 256 Mb no meu PC.

Não é que foi só visitar o site da NVIDIA e no Knowledge Database está a resposta: trata-se de um bug da versão do driver da placa que eu estou usando. Como ~de resto tudo está funcionando, optei por baixar o arquivinho que eles sugerem e que corrige o registro do windows.

Answer:

This was a bug in our previous driver. If your current drivers are not giving you any other problems and you wish to continue using the same drivers, then you may disable this message by downloading the registry key “sliballoon.reg” located below in the File Attachments section. Once you have downloaded it to your computer, run the file to add the information to your registry. After Microsoft Windows has added this registry key, you will no longer receive an SLI balloon pop up message every time you boot into Microsoft Windows.
